Sweet Lorraine's roots can be traced back to, of all things, a cheesecake! That is the first thing consistently sold by the company - a Russian Cheesecake. Sweet Lorraine's Cafe that their creative and healthful "Modern American Cooking" grew into notoriety, enjoying Detroit Monthly's "Restaurant of the Year" award and earning a four-star rating by The Detroit News. The cafe, and Lorraine personality, have since enjoyed a great deal of positive press including radio, television, cable T.V., reviews, and travel publications.
Everything is fresh and beautifully presented. The wait staff is wonderful and Sweet Lorraine's is as sweet as is Lorraine.
