After much anticipation, the polls for the 2015 Detroit A-List opened last week. Voting kicked off Monday, April 27th and things got exciting right out of the gate. With more than a dozen new categories to vote in and hundreds of new nominees, the first few days saw a frenzy of activity. After the first week, we counted a whopping total of 4,313 nominations and more than 5,800 votes.

After a strong first week, we expect Detroit area voters to keep their foot on the pedal. Nominees that got out to fast starts may be sitting pretty in first place now, but with the polls open until 7th of June, complacency is not an option. Until next week!
