Irish Coffee Bar & Grill wins the St. Patrick's Day Showdown

16 nominees, 4 rounds, and more than 1,732 votes later - the Detroit A-List's St. Patrick's Day Challenge has drawn to a close.

It was a fierce battle - each round featured tight and hard-fought match-ups, accompanied by the occasional upset.

On the near side of the bracket, Irish Coffee Bar & Grill was the class of the bunch collecting the most votes throughout the competition. Irish Coffee Bar & Grill got the Round 1 win after fighting off a late charge from the Murphy Inn. Irish Coffee Bar & Grill took that confidence and poured on the votes in Round 2 and Semi-Final, easily defeating John Cowley & Sons Irish Pub and The Old Shillelagh.

On the far side of the bracket, Stout Irish Pub faced some tough competition. In Round 1, Stout Irish Pub came back in the late innings for a big win against The Claddagh Irish Pub. With confidence running high, Stout Irish Pub trounced Dick O' Dow's in Round 2. Troubles did start to rise as Stout Irish Pub held tight and defeated the much favorited Gaelic League of Detroit & Irish American Club.

The final round was as fierce as any before with the Irish Coffee Bar & Grill and the Stout Irish Pub trading blows. In the end, it was the Irish Coffee Bar & Grill who emerged with the win.

Congratulations to all nominees but a special congratulations to the team and staff at the Irish Coffee Bar & Grill - the winner of the Detroit Hot List's St. Patrick's Day Challenge.

Thanks to all of the voters who helped celebrate St. Patrick's Day this year!
